Skills in FieldAx determine which engineers can perform specific job types. Proper skill assignment ensures:

• Right engineer for each job
• Quality service delivery
• Compliance with regulations
• Efficient resource utilization

Skill Components

Skill Types

• Technical skills (HVAC repair, installation)
• Certifications (EPA, state licenses)
• Manufacturer authorizations
• Soft skills (customer service)

Skill Attributes

• Proficiency level (1-5 scale)
• Certification number
• Expiration date
• Last verified date

Adding Skills Process

Step 1: Access Skills Management

From the Service Engineer record:

1. Scroll to Skills related list
2. Click Add Skills button

Step 2: Search and Select Skills

Finding Skills

1. In skill search dialog
2. Type skill name (e.g., “HVAC”)
3. Select from available skills:
   • HVAC Installation
   • HVAC Repair
   • HVAC Maintenance
   • EPA Universal Certification

Step 3: Add Multiple Skills

Technical Skills

✓ HVAC Installation – Level 4

✓ HVAC Repair – Level 5
